Kaduna State University, (KASU)s chairman, Professor Muhammad Sani Tanko, has removed the fear of parents of its students about increasing school fees, saying they have made a good plan such that no student shall leave because of the increase in its fees.

The KASU chairman, who disclosed this yesterday in an interview with newsmen, said, “What we are saying is: there are ways to help. For those who dont have the ability to pay, we have brought plans that if students follow, God willing, no one will leave because he or she doesnt have school fees.
He further said, “We have discussed with local government leaders; they have assured us that they will help the students from their local governments to pay for these school fees.
“And then again, we have discussed with private organisations and we hope that they can help, especially for our women who cant afford it. There is a group of women that said they will help their fellow women.
“Also, there are school groups like Majlis, SPSS and others, who also promised to support those who couldnt afford school fees. So, if students are patient everything will pass”.
Prof. Tanko further said that it is necessary for the university to be financially dependent rather than always depend on the government, and where the government doesn’t deliver allow the school administration to fail due to lack of funds.
